Bad Medicine ~ Lisinopril

Оценок: 955 | Просмотров: 128452
I was recently prescribed Lisinopril for high blood pressure. I had a terrible side effect with a bad dry cough. The cough was 24/7. It can persist for weeks even if you stop taking Lisinopril. Stay away from this medicine if possible and ask your doctor for an alternative.

I am 23 years old and they prescribed me lisinopril. I’m having side effects I think where I’m dizzy, I can’t think right, I get dizzy when I drive, and one time it felt like my brain was electrocuted when I was driving. I took the medication and not five minutes later I experienced that shocking feeling and it scared me half to death!! They told me my bp is fine now, but told me to keep taking the meds......

MY Lisinopril NIGHTMARE June 2nd 2018 through Sept 2018 My doctor quit prescribing this after hearing about all my symptoms. It is made from Brazilian Pit Viper Venom. I mean, what happens when you are bitten by a snake...THAT'S RIGHT, IT'S GODDAM NEUROTOXIN! I have always been a pretty happy guy who loves to laugh...but within 3 days of taking this medication POISON, I had strong suicidal thoughts. It took about 2 more weeks to develop some of the next symptoms...Convulsions, seizures, trembling from head to toe, trouble thinking, trouble breathing, trouble talking, trouble walking, ( I developed a weird bounce when I took a step}, muscle cramps, my feet and hands had a life of their own, my feet and hands would move involuntarily, still get a few cramps 5 months later) tried to sleep one night and it felt like someone punched me in my back, couldn't sleep, couldn't eat without throwing up, hives on my back, blurred vision, body sweats, high liver enzymes, Was in the hospital for toxicity several times ( I didn't know not to drink with it) Also my lips and toungue were numb the whole time. I went through 3.5 months of a living hell. I lost several jobs over the whole ordeal. Called multiple lawyers, but no one would even consider touching the case. Although not as severe now, I still experience feet and hand cramping. At first I thought I would never snap out of it, but here I lived to tell the tale. Oh, and I involuntarily lost 15 pounds from not eating.

Lisinopril makes me feel off balance, gives me head pressure, and gives me high pulse.

Its not just this is was in ramipril and came off it for the coughing and sore throat
Werner van Schie (18 дней назад)
The moral of the story is familiarize yourself with the side effects of any medicine you use. Telling people to stay away from it is plain stupid (sorry) as this saves lives... and that’s a proven fact.
Steve Sherron (18 дней назад)
My experience was bad. I recommend anything but this. People can make their own decision. I'm pretty sure I will not sway their health decisions.
Larry b (18 дней назад)
Its a side effect. Im on the highest dose. I ran out for a week. And i feel like shit. I only get the coughs when im alseep. But be aware its made from snake venom.
Oscar S (22 дня назад)
Has worked fine for me and has been helpful. Side effects vary from person to person. There may be a more suitable treatment for you than the one you may currently be on. Good advice would be to note any side effects down and discuss with a healthcare provider/Doctor before coming off any medication. The reason being that it can be dangerous to come off some medicines suddenly. PS: I have recently stopped drinking alcohol and this step has been really successful in reducing my BP even further. For me it was an easy step and a no brainer. For those that feel this is too drastic a step, then limiting alcohol consumption rather than total abstinence can still have a positive effect on BP and may have other health benefits also.

Hi Steve, Sorry I looked again and did not see the new med anywhere. The main problem is all these meds are bad. The main reason for high or low Blood Pressure is an imbalance in the minerals we receive in our bodies. I was low on Magnesium and Potassium . As soon as the potassium went up in my body, my BP went to normal. Its us against the Pharmacy companies. Also 3 of the main important minerals that we need to function, is not even in the blood work to be tested. And who says the numbers they say we must be in is accurate. Best advice i can suggest is study your health and monitor the things that are out of balance.
Steve Sherron (27 дней назад)
Thank you. This info in your comment may be very helpful to those who read through them. I did not know that about potassium. I have recently began taking Krill Oil. I'm only taking a half pill of Losartan these days. I'm searching for natural remedies or supplements that might eventually get me off the BP Meds altogether. Thank you very much for your helpful contribution.
thelionman2008 (28 дней назад)
Why didn't you say in the video what you are taking now? DUH. Thanks for telling us what not to take. Yeah like im going to believe someone that does not even read the bottle, never mind the full info sheet they give you. What did you switch to? lower dose? or different med.?
Steve Sherron (28 дней назад)
Thanks for the snarkiness and I made mention that I failed to read the label. As I've mentioned in the comments, I switched to Losartan with no known ill effects on me. If you read through the comments you will discover that this video has helped a lot of people and that was my original intention. It certainly will not help everyone.

Yes it is true that some folks suffer no ill effects from this garbage. Some people can ingest things that would kill other folks and not suffer . As for this garbage, it is currently ruining my life. It is not a dry cough in my case, it is DRY MOUTH. You look on line and they say it is RARE side effect, BULLSHIT, just about everybody I spoke to that is on this poison suffers from dry mouth. I think big pharma is hiding this fact from folks, they say ace inhibitors cause dry mouth, then they say Lisinopril is an ace inhibitor, but Lisinopril does not cause dry mouth... HUH ???? It did not start right away, it was about 2 1/2 years into my usage of this garbage. That is what threw me off. Last March I started to have dry mouth issues, did some research on dry mouth, of all the causes, smoking, illegal drug use, cancer therapy, auto immune disease, medicine side effects, head trauma... guess which is the only one that applies... prescription side effects. And guess what is the only constant medicine... This snake oil called lisinopril. Doctor put me on it for high blood pressure, and I want off of it. I started a program of exercise and diet to reach this goal. I have lost almost forty pounds in the last five months, and y pressure is coming down. I know my doctor is not going to be happy on my next visit, as I am going to request he take me off this stuff , (no more kickbacks), but he is either going to wean me off this garbage, or I am going cold turkey. This dry mouth is such a nuisance.

My blood pressure still isn't under control since my doctor added this medicine about 5 months ago BUT my creatinine level is now up significantly. I'm also taking blood pressure meds which I've taken for years and my kidneys have never been affected so I'm thinking it could be the lisinopril. Or just the fact that my pressure stays on the higher side. I'm trying to heal myself with raw foods and herbs and kick these meds to the curb!

So I kept getting these heart palpitations after back to back illnesses. Needing to lose weight, I changed my lifestyle and decided to get healthy. As a part of getting healthy, I was committed to getting my BP in check. I was given Lisinopril, TERRIBLE anxiety, chest pain, heart palpitations, awful. This went on for months until I forgot to take it today. I was feeling AMAZING! no anxiety, palpitations, or chest pains. Then I remembered to take it late afternoon. I took it, and my heart shivered for hours and the anxiety came back.
Steve Sherron (2 месяца назад)
I would ask your doctor to possibly make a change in BP medicine. I'm on Losartan with no issues now.

Another side effect can be lightheadedness when standing after laying down so sitting upright for 10 sec before standing is recommended. I felt like I was going to pass out but it lasts a few seconds only. I need to hold on to something and let it pass. I've been on 10mg/day for a year and the lightheadedness rarely now happens anymore.
Eliza Raffles (3 месяца назад)
Cough is a minor side effect. Fatigue was part of it too. was on that stuff for 10 years and all of a sudden developed massive facial swelling - came up at work. Went to ER and said NEVER take this EVER AGAIN because you can die. You have developed an allergy to it. Shhhhttt. Put me on Amlopidine but caused heavy chest feeling. I cut that one in half. I am going to get off of all this stuff. BTW, Lisinopril is derived from i believe Brazilian snake venom

Just got back from my Dr. Took me off it after 10 months. Over time I developed every major side effect, cough so bad the other day I threw up, extreme lethargy, waking up with a swollen tongue a couple nights a week, you name it. 8% of patients will have or develop severe allergic reactions as I did according to my Dr. Had I known all this I would have contacted him months ago. I just wrote it all off to getting old.

This is among the best blood pressure solution I`ve read “fetching komso site” (G00GLE it). It is written in clear and understandable language and it is simple to follow. I strongly recommend this book for anybody desiring to lower his or her blood pressure level. My blood returned to the standard 120/80 after using the recommendations on the program.

I had been taking it for about three weeks. I developed a cough and I thought my wife passed me her cough. I finally went to the Doctor and they told me I had no signs of a Respiratory Infection or strep. She did mention that cough and sore throat were some possibly side effects of the medicine. I was also given isosorbide so I didn't which one was worse. I called Caridology three days later and they told me to stop taking them. Two nights later I was finally able to at least lay down to sleep. Still a little cough, but less and less every day now. It was bad, felt like power was being shoved down my throat.

Just stumbled upon this PSA...lol. I am also having issues with HBP and my doc said if I dont get it under control in 3 months he's going to prescribe something which I am fighting. Since losing most of my taste 6 yrs ago during my accident, I have been using a ton of salt so I can at least taste something. I suppose this has caused the issue so I now use "no salt" which is actually good for you. I'm trying to drink lots of water and eat foods that tend to lower BP. Staying away as much as possible from things that are known to raise it. I take readings at home a lot and some days its normal, some days it's high. Starting to think heredity has a lot to do with it as on my mom's side there's a lot of HBP. Anyway thanks for the PSA old buddy! Peace!!

Same thing happened to me. Absolutley horrible cough. I stopped taking it for 2 weeks, the cough went away. I started taking half my dose again.....and the caugh came back. I switched to losartan. I gotta take more losartan to keep my B.P. just right.....but it works. Unfortunatley, the doc doesnt think i can make any lifestyle changes to control my b.p. Im not overweight, my cholesterol is in a good range for my age (38). Its just heriditary, so ill be taking medicine for the rest of my life. Therefore, its important to find a medicine that has no negative side effects.

I'm a 58 overweight male. I started taking Lisinopril and I developed a dry cough (about 12 cough fits a day) went back to see my Dr. He told me all ACE inhibitors cause a dry cough (diuretic effect) Since my cough isn't that bad and it doesn't mess with my sleep; He told me to stay on it.

I have been taking this medication for 15 years with no issues. My BP stays at 125/70 more or less. It's only bad if it doesn't work for you, most it does work for. My friend , this Army vet has been prescribed lisinopril 20mg twice per day. I have been feeling all the symptoms from acid reflux, ulcer, diarrhea, headache, memory loss, sometimes too low of blood pressure feeling faint and weak. This year after the flu, all hell broke loose. PERSISTENT DRY COUGH. In the past two month, I visited my provider at 30 day with the story. She gave me more acid prevent pills. Two weeks later I claim to have a Dry cough attack. She gave me 100 mg of benzonatate 3 per day for cough. This if chewed can kill in 24 hours after ingested, must be swallowed. I stopped the lisinopril and trying other natural methods to lower press.. Mucinex and other med can relief for a moment. This is what happens at the VA Health system.

Blood pressure is not a good indicator of health but IS a good indicator of scared sheep BIg Pharma can make money on you. In Germany they find ways to RAISE your BP so nutrients in blood can reach ALL your body parts. Those new BP machines in doctor offices squeeze your arm so hard you want to scream, The more upset you are the higher BP, the higher the BP the more big pharma can sell you drugs. #BigPharmaHell #FakeNarrative$
