He's using conversions methods used in chemistry here.

Lol, bro this really scares people who aren't confident in maths when you take something simple and make it unnecessarily complex.

Apparently, all you have to do is divide the 600 by 200 and it equals 3 tabs.
Erika Ortega (10 месяцев назад)
All you had to do is say divide 600/ 200= 3

good formula but I don't understand in second steap

OR you can just divide 600 by 200 and you get 3 tabs lmao his work is way too confusing !
Michelle Reyes (1 год назад)
Good video, but it's more work than it should be. You could do, dosage÷on hand × quantity.
Heart Breath (1 год назад)
Why did he make it so complicated ! Why don't we just put 600 mg over 200 = 3 mg

you mean 3 tablets?

Thank you I don't understand what he he was doing
Brad Wojcik (5 месяцев назад)
He is just using that problem as a simple example of dimensional analysis to get the correct answer of 3 tablets, not 3 mg. If you learn this method, you can easily do much more complicated problems.

Fahad Shaikh you use a calculator for complicated problems

Heart Breath so you use this for more complicated problems

your desired amount is 150 n u have in hand is 80 for 1 tab. So its simple D/H x1 . 150/80 x1 = 1.875 1.875 is almost 2 tabs as its more than 1.75.

I have a drug calculations exam coming up. I'm so stressing because I don't understand how to show working out, and how to get the answer and where in the hell to put the decimals. I told my husband that it'll be impossible for me to pass. I'm so dumb at maths. Really dumb!

Good formula, I guess, but you are doing it a lot more complicated than it has to be. Simply have the ordination/prescription and didive it by the concentration = dose (number of tablets). That is, for first example: 600 / 200 = 3.tablets. Second example: 150 / 80 = 1,875 ~ 2 tablets.
Rachelle Elvord (5 месяцев назад)
Agreed felt this was way more complicated
Joe Dhoffer (1 год назад)
Blaiwnez Easier than it. It's impossible. Show me !!!!
Mike Adorno (4 года назад)
Cant be more simple...I finally got it. Thanks!!!
